As a special thank you to this year’s Director’s Cup Award winners, Eric M. Green, President and CEO; Annette Favorite, Sr. VP and Chief HR Officer; and Tom Gribbin, VP, Operations, Americas, served a catered dinner to all three shifts at our St. Petersburg facility. This visit from leadership provided an opportunity to personally recognize everyone for their commitment to safety, quality, productivity, lean programs and community service.

In the true spirit of West philanthropy, all leftovers from the event were donated to the Fischer House–a local shelter for veterans and military families–and the St. Petersburg Police Department.
West’s Director’s Cup Award was established by the Board of Trustees to recognize outstanding team performance by West facilities around the world. The award is determined annually by an independent senior leadership committee.

I retired from West in 2017. My West experience over my 34 years of being a team member left me with many fond memories and relationships that I still have today. West’s motto of integrity, strong work ethic and philanthropy aligned well for what I was looking for in a company when I joined in 1983.
West’s top priority is delivering high-quality products that meet the exact product specifications and quality standards customers require and expect in the interest of patient safety. This focus on quality includes excellence in manufacturing, scientific and technical expertise, and management. At the manufacturing level, this means producing clean, sterile, high-quality components to minimize disruptions to the supply chain and bringing safe, effective drug products to the market—and to the patient—quickly and efficiently.
As a caring corporate citizen, West has established a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities in which we work and live. Our comprehensive philanthropic efforts include three programs: 1) corporate giving through West, 2) the Herman O. West Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) entity, and 3) our employee-led fundraising program, West without Borders.
Eric Green joins West from Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, where he served as Executive Vice President and President for the Research Markets Business Unit from 2013-2015. This business unit offers research products to scientists in life science, academic, government and hospital settings around the world.
West St. Pete and Clearwater employees attended the 3rd annual WWAR Gala night. It was a night to honor the men and women who have served our country.
