Container Closure Integrity of Rubber Stoppered Glass and Daikyo Crystal Zenith® Vials Stored at Cryogenic Temperatures

A study was performed to compare the CCI of sterilized glass and CZ vials sealed after cryogenic storage.
Driven by advances in biotechnology, pharmaceutical products such as stem cells and biologics are now more frequently stored and shipped in rubber-stoppered vials at cryogenic conditions (e.g. -165°C/vapor phase liquid nitrogen).
