Evaluation of a Novel Cyclic Olefin Polymer Container System for the Cryopreservation of Adherent and Suspension Human Cell Types

Discusses use of cyclic olefin polymer (Daikyo Crystal Zenith®) container systems as an appropriate material for storage and transport of human cells at low temperatures.
This study compared recovery of bone-marrow derived hMSCs and umbilical cord isolated CD34+ stem cells from cyclic olefin polymer (Daikyo Crystal Zenith®) vials to screw-cap poly-propylene cryovials during well-controlled isolation, cooling, warming and expansion processes.
