I’ve worked at West for 28 years. I lead our Venture Group, Global Labs, and Data Science Team; I’ve spent most of my career in R&D. There’s an expectation from our customers that West will lead the way in developing new products. Ones that are going to be better for patients, easier to use and more cost efficient for the health system. That expectation drives a lot of the R&D work we do.
The West sales office located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, chose to support Obra Dominical Recreativa para Especiales, or O.D.R.E., (translated: Recreational Dominical Work for Special People) for the 2012 West without Borders fundraising initiative. The civil association, which was suggested by employee Christian Jimenez, provides support and services to those suffering from mental illness.
<p>On March 18, 2014, West CEO Don Morel was the keynote speaker for the Beacon of Hope dinner held to celebrate the United Way of the Kearney (Nebraska) Area’s 50th anniversary. More than 200 attendees were on hand to help celebrate, and to hear stories of West’ philanthropy, which included a $25,000 donation from West to help the United Way reach its 2014 campaign goal.</p>
When evaluating the vial system for your drug product, how do you know you’re making good decisions about protecting the drug product while also meeting regulatory expectations for data requirements as outlined in ICH Q9? To illustrate how complex it is to determine how much data is enough to make good, sound, decisions on your vial containment system, two 20mm container closure systems (CCS) were evaluated with the primary difference being the hardness of the rubber vial stopper. The designs were identical for each stopper, meaning the specifications, nominal dimensions, and other major features were the same.
On Saturday, July 13, a team of West colleagues and family members participated in the 2013 Merrell Down & Dirty National Mud and Obstacle Series in Philadelphia, Pa.
