This report concludes that the NovaPure plunger design shows a low break loose force and a smooth continuous gliding force.

The intention of this study was to analyze and compare the functionality of two 1 mL long West FluroTec® plungers - the steam sterilized NovaPure® plunger vs the gammairradiated Article 2340 plunger - in combination with prefilled and empty syringes.
