Herman O. West Foundation

The Herman O. West Foundation, started in 1972, supports our employees through scholarship and matching gift programs.

The Herman O. West Foundation Matching Gifts Program and Dollars for Doers is designed to assist employees in supporting post-secondary educational institutions and non-profit organizations of their choice. The Foundation also oversees the West Employee Emergency Fund which provides grants for employees facing hardship as well as Immediate Relief grants during natural disasters.

The Herman O. West Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors of West U.S. employees and provides tuition scholarships for up to four years of post-secondary schooling. One of the scholarships is made possible by a gift to the Foundation from Mr. William S. West’s family in memory of our former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
