The work presented here was done by West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc.’s (West), in collaboration with Loughborough University, to evaluate the suitability of West’s polycarbonate vial adapters (VA) as a needle-free device to withdraw cellular contents from a vial container. The sensitivity of cells to process parameters and an interest in optimized clinical handling were primary drivers for this study.
