TR 2019/212: Evaluation of Needle and Vial Adapter Compatibility for 4040/40 Lyophilization Stoppers

Testing of 4040 Lyo stoppers with vial adapters is presented.
To determine fitness for intended use of drug packaging components, understanding Fragmentation (also called coring) Tendency, Penetration Force, and Self-Sealing Capacity is critical. This technical report presents and summarizes the results of the physical and performance related testing of 13mm and 20mm 4040/40 Lyo Stoppers with appropriate West Vented Vial Adapters.
