TR 2018/182: West RNS™ ½ inch Cap Rigid Needle Shield Product Characterization Summary

This technical report summarizes the details and results of assessments done the West RNS™ 1/2” cap in two different formulations.

Prefilled syringes (PFS) with a staked needle require a front-end closure to protect the needle and to ensure the integrity of injectable drug products. The West RNS ½” cap is designed for 1 mL long prefilled syringes with a staked ½” needle for subcutaneous drug injection.
