In October 2017, PDA (Parenteral Drug Association), held a joint workshop with PQRI (Product Quality Research Institute) entitled: <strong>Container Closure, Devices and Delivery Systems: Compatibility and Material Safety Workshop. </strong><br /><br />
<em>Technical Guideline for Study of Nitrosamine Impurities in Chemical Drugs (Trial)</em> was issued by the China National Medical Products Administration on 8 May 2020. This guideline discusses nitrosamine impurities in drug products, including the sources of nitrosamine impurities and the control strategy. The control strategy is given from the perspectives of the basic concept of control, control limits, establishment of analytical methods, and control of risk throughout the drug product lifecycle.

Recently, interns of West’s global headquarters in Exton, Pennsylvania, hosted a Final Showcase Event where they highlighted various elements of their overall internship experience. The showcase, which included each intern creating a poster to highlight and present their experience, served as a final opportunity for the interns to continue to network with other members of the West team as they finished the ninth week of the ten-week West Ambassador Internship Program.
West’s Kinston, NC facility was recently recognized with an Honorable Mention at the 2016 International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering’s (ISPE) Facility of the Year Awards’ ceremony on June 7, 2016, in Bethesda, Maryland. The award acknowledged the West team’s creativity and innovation during the Ready-to-Sterilize (RS) Expansion project, which was completed in June 2015.
