Primary Sealing Rib on FluroTec® Laminated Prefilled Syringe Plungers

This bulletin outlines the design intent of a legacy plunger and NovaPure® 1 mL long/1-3 mL plungers, related to primary sealing rib and seal integrity.
FluroTec® barrier film is a transparent fluoropolymer film (ETFE, ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) that is applied during the molding process and is conformable to complex shaped closures and plungers.
