West St. Pete and Clearwater employees attended the 3rd annual WWAR Gala night. It was a night to honor the men and women who have served our country.
The Wounded Warrior Abilities Ranch’s mission is to inspire veterans of all conflicts to get out and be active. The Ranch, which will be built at Lurie Park, will provide activities for all Military Veterans in need of support and healing. A purpose-built park, the Ranch will have a wide variety of activities available to Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and their caregivers.
St. Pete has been involved with this organization since 2015 as part of the “Year of the Military” fundraising campaign. Our partnership includes an annual West vs WWAR softball game and over 200 hours of volunteer time.
This year we were honored to be one of the 4-Star General Sponsors for the gala. Both St. Pete and Clearwater employees attended the dinner and helped raise money to complete the Ranch.

Moisture can be introduced into a lyophilized drug product cake from the elastomeric stopper and from the atmospheric headspace; it can also permeate through the stopper, a process known as moisture transmission.</p>
Patient safety is defined by the Institute of Medicine as: the prevention of harm to patients.<sup>1</sup> The extension of this principle to general safety in healthcare is: the freedom from accidental injury, and it applies not only to patients, but to all professionals and workers in the healthcare field.<sup>2</sup>
At West, patient safety is the utmost concern. Intuitively, one might not think that Project Management can have an impact on patient safety – but it does – a very important impact. West Analytical Services LLC partners with customers to design and perform studies that help to enable the safest, and most efficient, delivery of drug products in West components/systems.<br />
West is excited to announce an addition to its NovaPure<sup>®</sup> product line — NovaPure 3mL Cartridge components, which include plunger and seal components specifically designed to ensure consistency of delivery for higher-volume injectable drug delivery systems. The components were designed to address specific issues and challenges the pharmaceutical industry faces in bringing innovative injectable drug products to market.
Neovascular diseases of the eye are often chronic conditions treated with repeated intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. Although anti-VEGF therapies are preventing blindness, there are unique risks to intravitreal drug delivery that are exacerbated by the injection frequency. In particular, there is clinical evidence to suggest that some complications of these injections, though rare, might be tied to injection of particulate matter such as silicone oil, protein aggregates and foreign particulates.<sup>1,2</sup>
