TSB 1999/017: Machine Performance of Silicone-Free Closures

Because of the increased interest in fluoropolymer laminated closures, West Pharmaceutical Services has performed studies to determine the feasibility of running fluoropolymer film-coated, silicone oil-free rubber closures on standard filling machinery. This study evaluates the performance of film-coated silicone-free closures (as well as positive and negative controls) on two different types of standard filling/stoppering machinery.
