TR 2018/183: West RNS™ 5/8” Cap Rigid Needle Shield Product Characterization Summary

This technical report summarizes the details and results of assessments done the West RNS™ 5/8” cap in two different formulations.
Prefilled syringes (PFS) with a staked needle require a front-end closure to protect the needle and to ensure the integrity of injectable drug products. The West RNS 5/8” cap is designed for 1 mL long prefilled syringes with a staked 5/8” needle for intramuscular drug injection.
