Hurricane Idalia - St. Petersburg, FL

Late Tuesday, August 29, Hurricane Idalia made landfall as a direct hit to the Southwest Florida region, impacting our St. Petersburg manufacturing site and our team members living there.

The hurricane has brought devastating wind, rain and subsequent flooding, with millions of people experiencing electricity outages.

Our main priority is the safety of our team members, and we are very thankful that our team members and their families remained safe through the storm.

Earlier in the week we activated our Business Continuity and Hurricane Preparedness Plans to ensure we took the appropriate measures to mitigate the risk to production at the site, enabling us to continue supplying critical components to our customers for the life-saving medicines they provide to patients around the world.

To support our team member’s safety, we closed our manufacturing site beginning second shift on Tuesday, August 29. We are pleased to report that our St. Pete site suffered minimal damage, with no flooding or electrical disruption.

Because of the commitment and hard work of our team there, we plan to reopen our site and return to full production starting with second shift on Wednesday, August 30. We will operate overtime throughout the next week to address the minimal downtime experienced. We do not anticipate any major impact to customer orders due to the hurricane.

Our thoughts continue to be with everyone in that region who were affected by this event.

We will continue to monitor the situation very closely and are committed to keeping our customers informed with any relevant updates.
