Employees of The Tech Group Puerto Rico donated $1,000 to Optometry Giving Sight (OGS), an organization dedicated to helping people around the world who are blind or vision impaired. OGS is a global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive effort – simply the need for an eye examination and glasses.
Created in 2003 by the World Council of Optometry, the International Centre for Eyecare Education and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, OGS helps to mobilize resources from the global optometric community to fund the development of sustainable eye care products in communities where need exists.
In a letter to The Tech Group, Vanessa Alvarado of CooperVision said, “It has been a pleasure to become partners in such a great cause. This donation not only represents your values and social responsibility, but also your strong partnership with our organization.”
