West Aids Camp Victory’s 2013 Fundraising Goals
Camp Victory, which is located in Millville, Pennsylvania, operates camps for children with special needs and children who live with chronic health disadvantages including spina bifida, autism and cancer. In 2007, West donated the funding and manpower needed to build a wheel-chair accessible tree house and has maintained an affiliation with the camp ever since. So when Camp Victory sent out a call for fundraising as part of its 2013 Corporate Sponsorship Program, West was pleased to become a Corporate Partner with a donation of $25,000.
“West has had many years of friendship with Camp victory, and the Pennsylvania plants have continued to support the camp through donations of time and money,” said Dave Bergerstock, Senior Director of Operations, Americas. Dave also serves on Camp Victory’s Board of Directors. “We’re very pleased to become a Corporate Partner as part of the 2013 Partnership Fundraising campaign, and look forward to continuing to support Camp Victory as much and as often as we can.”
During the 2007 West without Border campaign, West employees around the world donated an impressive $240,000 to help build the tree house, while more than 115 employees helped construct the house over the course of eight weeks. Since then, West’s Pennsylvania locations have lent a helping hand not only to maintain the tree house, but also to provide fundraising for the Camp through the annual West without Borders campaign.
Camp Victory is hoping to raise more than $100,000 from regional businesses to benefit campers this year. For more information about Camp Victory, visit http://campvictory.org.
