The Next Generation of West’s Knowledge Center: Improving the speed of doing business
You need reliable technical documentation to support the packaging components and medical devices that you use to bring your drugs to market and deliver them to patients. And getting that documentation needs to be fast and easy. At West, we meet those needs through our Knowledge Center and the My Account portal.

Continuous improvement is a key value at West, so we are excited to bring you the Next Generation of the Knowledge Center, now a customer-only portal focused entirely on bringing you technical product documentation to support the use of your West products.
Based on customer feedback, we learned that the technical documents in our Knowledge Center were hard to find, so we set out to improve our content and search capabilities.
What’s new?
- Product Document Packages
Over 100 new pages were built focused on our recommended offerings and highly used legacy products, each one containing all downloadable documents that we can share without a confidentiality agreement. Examples of document types included on each Product Document Package page, which were previously only available individually, include:
- Drawings for stoppers and plungers, with appendices included when appropriate
- Formulation Characteristics and Regulatory Compliance Bulletins for elastomers, coatings, and films
- Physical Properties, Nitrosamine and Biocompatibility Reports for elastomer formulations
- Theoretical Material Extractables
- Sample Quality Certificates and Master Specifications (coming soon)
- Technical Reports and Bulletins
- Easy to Use Search Wizard
Each product group page is tagged according to the list of appropriate quality attributes using customer-driven terminology. This means that anyone who uses our products can easily click through our new search wizard to quickly find the page that they are looking for.
- Not a Replacement for West Experts
The Knowledge Center is not meant to be a replacement for the expertise provided by your West team. By relieving the team of routine documentation tasks, they are now freed up to have better conversations with you about the science of West products. Ensuring you have the documentation you need
- Register with My Account (see below). If you are new to West, we will want to get to know you before approving you to download customer level content, so you will be prompted via email to set up a meeting with us. You will still be able to purchase on the store right away. If your company is already a customer, you’ll be able to download immediately.
- Share the Log In/Registration page and any relevant product document package pages with your colleagues.
- Bookmark pages for products you use. Check back when you need documentation instead of relying on old downloads, because we do update them with new revisions.
- Browse our technical reports (TR) and scientific bulletins (TSB). Besides specific product documents, we also have over 150 TR’s and TSB’s with results and summaries from studies done on our products to ensure they are safe, clean, effective, and fully compliant with current standards and regulations. All of them, as well as the FAQ’s and memos on the Knowledge Center, are written by our scientists and subject matter experts, go through a strict peer review process, and are periodically checked for relevancy and continued accuracy.
Knowledge Center and the My Account experience
We are also continuously improving the My Account experience– a 24/7 digital tool that customers can use to access a complete history of their account. My Account provides a variety of features:
- Easy access to order history and order tracking information
- Download sales orders, invoices and order related documents
- Make an online purchase, re-order an item or make a change order
- Access to the West Support Team
- Access to Lab Services and the Knowledge Center
West continues to invest in this digital experience for our customers, including expanding the products offered for purchase online, adding more product document pages, inventory sampling and additional user-friendly and innovative features.

- Click here to register Account Registration
- Register for access with your business email as your username and create a password
- Once you complete the registration you will receive a confirmation email prompting you to confirm your registration
- Upon confirmation you will be directed to your personalized home page with in the My Account platform
