Customer Satisfaction Survey Results in Charitable Contribution

A European Customer Satisfaction Study conducted in 2012 offered West customers a chance to be heard, and provided a contribution to the José Carreras Leukämie-Stiftung (José Carreras Leukemia Foundation) based in Munich, Germany. The EU-wide study was conducted as an online survey and ran throughout the summer. To encourage customer participation, West made a charitable contribution for each completed survey. Thanks to a high level of customer participation (customers from 28 countries provided feedback), West was able to generate €2,260 (more than $3,000) for the charity.

The donation will support:

  • Research and development to combat leukemia, including research projects and awards for research fellowships for highly qualified postdoctoral scholars
  • Improvement in patient treatment and care, such as development and expansion of bone marrow transplant units, after-care units and outpatient clinics
  • Social Services, including support for self-help groups and parent initiatives

West would like to thank the customers who participated in this study for their detailed feedback regarding areas for further improvement. Your contribution provided valuable feedback that will be used to formulate future strategies and next steps. West will notify all European customers of the survey’s key findings within the next few months.
