Since our Eschweiler’s site founding in 1960 as Pharma-Gummi, we have been helping to support our overall company mission to ensure the development and delivery of lifesaving, life-enhancing medicines for patients around the world. In the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have a special role to play: through these challenging times, vaccine developers have trusted West as a partner of choice to help protect their sensitive biomolecules. If you’ve ever been vaccinated, or if you or a loved one has ever needed to take an injected medicine, you’ve probably encountered a West product.

For the past 10 years, Janet Cooper, Manager, Admin Services, Exton, has done it all at Canine Partners for Life: from cuddling puppies in the kennel, to giving demonstrations, to serving on the Board of Directors.

Marisa Leuzzi, Senior Specialist, Global Communications, from our Exton Headquarters, is one of the growing number of coronavirus survivors. Her experiences with her illness is not uncommon – but what she did after her recovery to keep her family whole is remarkable.

As a caring corporate citizen, West has established a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities in which we work and live. Our comprehensive philanthropic efforts include three programs: 1) corporate giving through West, 2) the Herman O. West Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) entity, and 3) our employee-led fundraising program, West without Borders.

West St. Pete and Clearwater employees attended the 3rd annual WWAR Gala night. It was a night to honor the men and women who have served our country.

The Exton West without Borders campaign came to a close with the annual picnic on Friday, June 3.  This year the campaign benefitted the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), one of the most respected organizations dedicated  to finding a cure for blood cancers and providing important support services for those in our community affected by this disease.
